Hi, I’m Elizabeth Manzetti, a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and the Founder of The Mind Gym Counseling & Wellness Services in Twinsburg, Ohio.
If you’re considering counseling, you may be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, anxious, or unsure about what comes next. Maybe you’re dealing with something specific, such as anxiety, trauma, low self-esteem, a major life transition, or the pressures of college or athletics. Or maybe you simply know that something feels off and you want support in figuring out why.
Whatever brings you here, you don’t have to have everything figured out before starting counseling.
I believe counseling should feel like a collaborative process. You know yourself and your experiences better than anyone, and my role is to help you better understand what you're experiencing, identify what may be keeping you stuck, and work toward the changes that matter to you.
My approach is supportive, practical, and tailored to each client. I draw from several evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Reality Therapy, Existential Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. I also incorporate nervous system-informed approaches when they are helpful.
These approaches give us different ways to look at what you're experiencing. We may explore how your thoughts and behaviors affect how you feel, identify patterns that are no longer serving you, clarify your values and what matters most to you, work through questions about meaning and purpose, or explore what may be getting in the way of making changes you want to make.
Rather than following a specific formula, I select and adapt these approaches based on your needs, personality, goals, and where you are in your life.
I also believe counseling should be useful outside of our sessions. My goal is to help you develop greater self-awareness, practical skills, and confidence in navigating challenges so that the work we do together can continue to support you in your everyday life. Most importantly, I want our work together to feel like a space where you can be honest, ask questions, explore difficult things, and move at a pace that feels manageable for you.
I provide individual counseling for adults ages 18–64, including:
I work with clients both in person at my Twinsburg office and through telehealth throughout Ohio.
My background also includes training in fitness and nutrition. I’m a Certified Personal Trainer and Certified Nutrition Coach through the National Academy of Sports Medicine.
My background in both mental health and wellness has given me an appreciation for the connection between our mental and physical well-being. While counseling is not fitness or nutrition coaching, I value looking at the whole person and considering how different aspects of our lives can affect how we feel, function, and cope.
Starting counseling can feel like a big step, especially if you've never done it before. You don't need to know exactly what to say or have a clear plan for what you want to accomplish.
You just need to be willing to start.
Whether you're looking for support through a difficult season, working toward a specific goal, or simply want to better understand yourself, counseling can give you a space to slow down, reflect, and move forward.
You don't have to figure everything out on your own.
If you think we might be a good fit, I invite you to reach out and take the next step.
